Equine Assisted Mentoring

We utilize the horses in our program, along with caring adult mentors, to help guide children and youth through life mentally, emotionally, physically, spiritually and academically by being a positive influence and role model to them. The children and youth that come to us to volunteer are paired up with a caring mentor, and they build a relationship together by working at the farm doing various barn chores and caring for the horses. 

Do you remember someone who encouraged you to believe in yourself, who encouraged you to work hard, who listened to you and inspired you to be all you can be and reach your dreams? We have confidence that through this program, we can impact children and put them on a path to success.

There are many benefits to this unique program including, but not limited to, the following: builds self-esteem and confidence, promotes volunteerism and teamwork, instills responsibility and good work ethics,  strengthens relationships, and inspires the children and youth to be the best that they can be in all that they do.

Participants in this program will meet with their mentor to volunteer together for a minimum of one hour per week for a duration of at least three months.
