Horseback Riding & Horsemanship

We partner with Loftmar Stables to create a learning environment where students can learn about horseback riding and horsemanship through lessons, after-school clubs and summer day camps.

Kristy Alvarez has been a CHA certified instructor for Loftmar Stables since 2003. She also started and operates the after-school programs at Loftmar Stables. Desire Horse Club is for students who attend Cornerstone Christian Academy & Cornerstone Church in Bowie, MD held on Wednesdays and Loftmar's Horse Lovers Club is for students that attend other local schools held on Mondays.

Kristy also participates on Lofmar's National Capital Adult Equestrian League as one of their high point riders. www.ncelaffiliates.com

Kristy has helped a local rescue, Freedom Hill Horse Rescue, find a foster home for a few of their horses at Loftmar Stables. One of the horses now has a forever home at Loftmar, and another one found his forever  home because of the dedication, love, and hard work of Loftmar!

Kristy is a member of and is certified by the Certified Horsemanship Association to conduct Horseback riding & Horsemanship activities. www.cha-ahse.org
