Our Founders
Daniel and Kristy Alvarez met at Valley Forge Christian College and were then married on June 15, 2002.
Daniel is a building contractor and Kristy is a former private school teacher and now a stay at home mom. She is a CHA certified horseback riding instructor, a member of the Maryland Horse Council and the Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Association. She is EAGALA certified to conduct Equine Assisted Psychotheraoy and Learning, and she participates on the National Capital Adult Equestrian League for Loftmar Stables.
They are the proud parents of Aidan Joseph Alvarez, who was born on March 9, 2009.
Daniel and Kristy were inspired to enlist the beauty, strength, and gentle nature of rescued and unwanted horses to educate, mentor, and counsel individuals, children, youth, families, and groups and through Desire Ministries, Inc. they are able to help horses and people who desperately need it.
